Priscilla “Prissy” Abshier Sliva founded Pepco Poms over 50 years ago and is still the owner and president of the company. She, also, founded the first drill team supply company. She was both lieutenant and captain of the world famous Kilgore College Rangerettes! Prissy realized, while teaching drill team camps and clinics, that the drill team members were unable to raise their poms on the right count because they were too heavy. She told her husband (a former collegiate athlete and high school football coach) that they should manufacture a lighter pom pon. So - Prissy and her husband, Bobby, went to work to develop this type of pom pon and Pepco was born!
Pepco is a proud member of ASI, PPAI, Sage and is also certified as a Woman Owned Business.
Today, Pepco manufactures over 500 different and unique products that can be imprinted with sport mascots or corporate logos. Pepco is, also, the world’s largest manufacturer of pom pons and the only manufacturer of megaphones in North America. Prissy has said “We pride ourselves in manufacturing what we sell and thus “MADE IN THE USA” really applies and truly is our motto!”
